Martín was contracted by the CalArts New Century Players to help them prepare for their performance of Sur Incises with Pierre Boulez at the 57th Ojai Music Festival. Martín conducted the rehearsals for five months until the arrival of Pierre Boulez. This performance included the following New Century Players: Susan Allen (harpist), Gloria Cheng (pianist), Ellie Choate (harpist), David Johnson (percussionist), Amy Knoles (percussionist), Bryan Pezzone (pianist), Vicki Ray (pianist), Nicholas Terry (percussionist) and Phala Tracy, harpist.
